Budapest provides many opportunities for family adventure, making it an ideal family vacation destination. Some highlights include the Hungarian Zoo, which has been freshly renovated and new exciting exhibits added, such as the Tropical Birdhouse. A visit to the Hungarian Zoo is an excellent way for children to get learn about the Hungarian village-life and indigenous animals. Also, on the southern part of the Buda side, there is a huge aquarium (Tropicarium) newly built, that has sharks, and rays, and all those species of fish which are generally not to be seen in this part of the world. In good weather, in the Western part of Budapest, there is a summer bob-sledge track, which could be a very fun experience for the whole family for half a day. (more…)
